National Stadium (Malay: Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil) in Bukit Jalil, located in the National Sports Complex to the south of the capital city of Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur is a 110,000 capacity all-seater of multi-purpose stadium it was officially inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Malaysia’s Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad on 1 January 1998 based in 1998 Commonwealth Games it was officially opening ceremonies
The stadium was built in 1 January 1997 to host the 1998 Commonwealth Games. It finished exactly a year in 1 January 1998. After the1998 Commonwealth Games ended in September, The stadium became the Home stadium for the Malaysia national football team, replacing the Shah Alam Stadium and the Merdeka Stadium. It also served as the main stadium of the 2001 Southeast Asian Games.
The Bukit Jalil’s capacity makes it the 11th largest stadium in the world and the 2nd largest football stadium in the world. It is also the largest stadium in Southeast Asia. It was built by United Engineers Malaysia, Bhd, and completed three months ahead of schedule. Designed to host a multitude of events, the National Stadium is the central and most prominent sports venue at the 1.2 km² National Sports Complex in Bukit Jalil.
The stadium is considered the best stadium in Malaysia and is home of the Malaysian national football team. Initially built for the 1998 Commonwealth Games, when it hosted the opening/closing ceremonies and the athletics competitions, the stadium is now used for a variety of events, most recently being one of the venues for the AFC Asian Cup 2007. There were many other sports venues that were built for the Commonwealth Games, such as Bukit Kiara Sports Complex and the National Sports Complex, Malaysia.
Malaysia’s previous national stadium was the Merdeka Stadium before the Bukit Jalil sports complex was constructed. Malaysia also uses other stadiums for their football matches such as KLFA Stadium, MBPJ Stadium and the Shah Alam Stadium.

Mines Wonderland Theme Park
Mines Wonderland Theme Park is located at the outskirt of Kuala Lumpur, about 30-minute drive from the city of Kuala Lumpur. It was built on and around a mining lake, and hence there is 150 acres of open mining lake where you have enjoy many water activities around.
It’s an ideal hangout place for families during the weekends and school holidays. All children of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur grew up visiting the theme park, shopping malls and their small zoo. With its central location, conveniently connected via public buses and KTM station, it is also among the meet up place for young couples and friends. The entrance welcomes you with the signature Unity Fountain, with water splashes and colorful lights. The theme park has many fun and exciting rides, suited for all age groups. Wa Wa Splash is among the most popular rides which lasted about 45-minutes on the lake.
For the fragile heart, can opts for a slow boat ride at the lake and enjoy the scenery along the way. There is also a mini zoo, with their special interest in tigers, the rare white Bengal tiger is an eye opener for many visitors. There are other animals such as peacock, swan and goats too. Another pulling factors for visitor is the Snow House, where you get to experience the cold and ice; particularly after a long hot day. Kids love to hang around the Snow House and have a beverage. During the night the atmosphere gets livelier with the Musical Fountains which happens at 8pm and 930pm, showing the art of laser and music of the fountain.
It is located about 30 minutes from Kl city using the KL-Seremban Highways, exit at the Mines Wonderland Resort city.There is also a connecting KTM station to the shopping mall at the Serdang Station via an overhead bridge.
